Song of the day : Jacopo Massa 'Anthem'

Today, I would like to present and recommend you Anthem, great song by young and talented musician Jacopo 'JM' Massa. so Ladies and Gents, make some nosie for him and this song!

Anthem is an acoustic pop rock song from his album ΞNERGIΛ ΞMOTIVΛ [ ENERGIA EMOTIVA] from 2009 ( number 9 on the album] and it's the fourth music video from this album.
You could read about him in a few previous notes on blog. If you missed it (shame on you), you can find everything here: http://xgosiax.blogspot.com/search/label/Jacopo%20Massa .

lyrics in Anthem aren't long but simple, and, to be honest, they are saying a lot:

The Universe is dead but this is not the end...
                                                                                     Jacopo 'JM' Massa,  Anthem

Song is a great example that lyrics not have to be long to give something, to say so a lot. As for me this song is just epic.
In my opionion, not only a song and lyrics are so great. This video is just different and unique. And when you are watching it, you've only one thought in your mind - 'wooow, this is just so cool'. Music video to Anthem was created by Giada Paione & Loreta Montuori [2013].

may the Energy be with you! ...enjoy the video and song :)

I'm one of these lucky people, who have his album, and I cen tell you that not only Anthem is such a great song, but all of his songs are unique and every single song has something inside, something deep. In my opinion all songs from the album are like a mix of everything what's good or ideal and you just want more and more.
Ok, I think I will write whole post about ΞNERGIΛ ΞMOTIVΛ and then I will tell you more words about this album. yes I think it's a good idea.

And now, it's time for a few screens from Anthem...

Book of the Day : 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green

today,  I would like to recommend you and say a few words about an amazing novel The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

The Fault in Our Stars is the fourth novel, published in January 2012, wrote by young writer John Green.

as for me this book isn't only for teenagers. this book is for teenagers and for adults.many people (maybe even everyone) think, that this book is only for young people (ok, to be honest I was between them too but only is very very small precet, because I saw that young people are interested The Fault in Our Stars...). but I know this is not truth....

The Fault in Our Stars isn't nice, funny, light story. The Fault in Our Stars is a book about hard and sad moments, about death and about the cancer, about teenagers who are fighting to be, to live, to see the next day. but also this book is about love, without happy end, and about friendship, true friendship, which will never forget.

I think The Fault in Our Stars is one of most wonderful and most emotional books, which I read in the last weeks. life, love, true friendship, fight - these things are creating the magic of this history. The Fault in Our Stars is very magic and amazing book, even if it's about somehting sad. I think this story has something inside what gives you warm and tears in your heart. sometimes we're smiling reading something funny, nice in lives of characters, and we're really crying reading about their fight, sad and tragic moments...

about what it is:

book is about teenagers who have a cancer and they're fighting against 'their bad friend' to live, about their plans for the future, which will never come, about their problems and bout their 'normal' days. as I wrote earlier this book is about sad but amazing love, about true friendship, about death, about about hope. it's about hard questions also.
the end isn't good or sad, because The Fault in Our Stars ends with Hazel accepting Augustus's eulogy with a present tense, I do.

why you should read it:

I've a milion of reasons 'why' but I will tell you maybe only a few. because this is not a nice book, this book is different. because it's about life, real life. because this is not a sweet story with happy end. because reading it you are giving some thought to your life. because the end of this book isn't obvious. because you can smile and cry in the same time. because you can ask yourself, what would I do if I would be Hazel Grace, Augustus, Isaac.

things to look out for:

relation between Hazel Grace, Augustus and Isaac - their converstations, favourite things, their thoughts and plans and dreams. relation between healthy people and people with 'bad friend'.

where / when you should read this:

I think this book, isn't only the book, it's something more. and in my opinion you should read in solitude to have time to think about the story, about the life.

favourite quotes from the book:

sorry, this time, I won't put here my favourite quotes, because then I should have to write here almost whole book.

a few words from me - mmm, crap, I've so much to say about this book, and too less place... I think this story has something between the next words, between pages.
true love is eternal, even after the death. the same is with true friendship, because only true friend will be with you always, no matter what. and only true friend will remember about you, when other people (who are naming themselves 'your good or even best friends') will forget. for the real true friend you will be immortal.
and we should live that as if this day was ours last, as if we were supposed to die tomorrow.

Autor of the day : Gail Carriger

Today I would like to tell you a few words about remarkable and one of the best steampunk fiction / urban fantasy writer nowadays... Ladies and Gents - Gail Carriger.

Gail Carriger is an American author of steampunk fiction books and an archaeologist. ‘Gail Carriger’ is a pseudonum for Tofa Borregaard.

She finished Oberlin College [undergraduate degree], Nottingham University [master of science in archaeological materials] and the University of California, Santa Cruz [master of arts in anthropology].

Her first novel, Soulless, was published in 2009. Soulless is a steampunk paranormal romance novel and it’s the first book in a projected five-novel The Parasol Protectorate series, each featuring Alexia Tarabotti, a woman without a soul, as its lead character. In the book we can find surprising history happening in Victorian England where werewolves and vampires are accepted as functioning members of society.
Soulless is a finalist for several literary awards and a recipient of the 2010 Alex Award and Soulless was declared by Publishers Weekly to be one of the "Best Books of 2009". A manga adaptation of the novel began publication by Yen Press in July 2011. Her first book earned her a nomination for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.

Gail’s next four books from The Parasol Protectorate series are the same good as the first novel, Soulless, and in these books we can read about Alexia and her unpredictable life.

 ↑ cover of Changeless

Changeless, steampunk paranormal romance novel published in April 2010, is the second book in a projected five-novel The Parasol Protectorate series. Changeless spent two weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, peaking at #20 on the Paperback Mass Market Fiction list in the week ending April 3 2010.

↑ cover of Blameless

Blameless, the third book in a projected five-novel The Parasol Protectorate series, was published in September 2010. The book spent two weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, peaking at #20 on the Paperback Mass Market Fiction list in the week ending September 5 2010. The novel slipped to #35, the bottom of the extended list, the following week. Blameless topped the Locus magazine mass-market paperback bestseller list in December 2010.

 ↑ cover of Heartless

The fourth steampunk with urban fantasy book  in the New York Times best-selling The Parasol Protectorate series, Heartless, was published a year later, on June 28 2011.

Carriger's writing remains crisp and witty, and the affectionate banter between Lord and Lady Maccon will please series fans distressed by their long separation in 2010's Blameless.

Publishers Weekly [May 2011]

Heartless debuted on the New York Times best-seller list at #11 for the week ending July 2 2011 and debuted at #12 on the Publishers Weekly best-seller list for mass market paperbacks.

In the end, Timeless, the fifth and final book of The Parasol Protectorate series, was released on February 28 2012, a year after Heartless

The world of Timeless is a unique recipe of steampunk and fantasy spiced with light sprinkling of romance. Its setting is rich for characters to romp about in, but the unbridled playfulness of the language and dialogue shines brightest.
Miami Herald

Her new Finishing School series with the newest book Etiquette & Espionage, released on February 2013, is the next dose of Gail’s talent, interesting stories and characters, mix of the paranormal, steampunk, and historical, and all these incredible places.

Carriger deploys laugh-out-loud bon mots on nearly every page...Amid all the fun, the author works in commentary on race and class in a sparkling start to the Finishing School series.
Publishers Weekly

The second book from Finishing School series, Curtsies & Conspiracies, will be in November 2013.

Her books with surprising stories and amazing characters, are moving us to other world, the world of Victorian England, where anything can happen...and where we can forget about the rest of the world.
I’m keeping my fingers for her, her next books and her writing career. And I wish her all the best.
